My work presents considerable variety. A persistent desire for change and research has led me from one series to another, moving through various styles.
Expressionist-style figurations alternate with large surfaces of color and gestural spots. Stories and arguments aim to transport the viewer beyond pictorial forms, but there are also compositions that remind us that, in fact, it is only about that: form. At one extreme, representations of objects that focus on the reality that surrounds us, and at the other, purely schematic abstractions.
As for techniques, they also obey the different interests that guide the creation at each moment. So that oil often gives way to acrylic, and even to collage or material experiments. And following it all as a constant, the passion for drawing.
After all, drawing an orange is something extraordinary, but so is designing a sphere, or simply sketching a circumference, looking at the empty circle inside it… and seeing that it has just become an orange too.
Everything is form and concept, whatever style we adopt.
